![]() ![]() On Azeroth, the remaining orcs would rally under a wise leader, Thrall, who led them across the sea to a lost continent known as Kalimdor. Through demonic magic, the orcs' mad leaders tore Draenor apart, transforming it into the shattered world of Outland. The survivors fled to the kingdom of Lordaeron, where they formed an Alliance between their nations as well as the dwarves and high elves, successfully defeated the Horde. The orcs invaded the Eastern Kingdoms through a dark portal between their worlds, and raised the capital of Stormwind to the ground. To accomplish that, they corrupted a peaceful nomadic species called the orcs, from the world of Draenor, and turned them into a bloodthirsty Horde. Warcraft is set mainly on the high-fantasy world of Azeroth, a planet the demonic Burning Legion sought to destroy. A short-lived, online-subscription only magazine was also available, but later ceased publication after just 5 issues. Anything implied outside what I actually wrote, is coming from your frame of reference. I never said defensive cooldowns were homogenized, and my previous comment was specifically about dispels. However, both priests and shaman have access to other options in their defensive toolkits to help mitigate this particular poison (Bubbles and Earthen Wall totem). Nearly every one of those types of effects is a magic effect, with the outlier being wyvern sting as a poison which remains a holdover from the past days of Shaman.ĭispels were homogenized to make things easier for dispelling, but its still an issue as seen by dungeons like Plaguefall where there is stacking poison dmg that priests and shaman simply cannot deal with, thus making them less desired than other healers. Shaman also have a mass AoE dispel in the form of Tremor Totem, which targets sleep, charm, and fear effects. Priest go even further in having a mass AoE dispel (one that removes immunities which makes it quite useful for pvp). However, like Shaman, priest also get an offensive purge. If you look at the other comparable healer to shaman for dispels, which is priest, you will see that Priest also only has 2 dispels attached to their cleansing spell.ĭisease and Magic. Over time, as certain pruning and unpruning happened, this skewed slightly as druids got back the ability to remove enrage effects (which is rather situational). Therefore, Blizzard decided that every healer would get access to magic dispel as their baseline, with 2 additionals.įor shaman, we kept curse removal and an offensive dispel, and gained magic dispel. There were cries that certain healers couldn’t remove magic debuffs, and that it was an issue for group composition not only in 5 mans (which were incredibly “difficult” at the start of Cata until nerfed due to mass crying) as well as raids (particularly 10 mans). This was done in cataclysm, partly in response to shaman moving from disease/poison cleansing to curse cleansing in WotLK (which in itself was in response to hard countering DKs). There was homogenization among healers… for dispels.Įvery healer was given access to 3 dispels.ĭispel - Wowpedia - Your wiki guide to the World of Warcraft () ![]()
